How matchmaking, safeguarding, assessments and events work on Fighter Ready — answered plainly, for coaches, fighters, promoters and officials.
Matchmaking and safety
The part of the platform that refuses. Fighter Ready is a decision-support tool for coaches and clubs, not a sanctioning body — the checks below are what the software enforces before a bout can be agreed.
How does Fighter Ready decide whether a bout is safe?
The Fighter Ready Rating scores four things about a proposed pairing — weight, experience, age and record — and resolves them into a single traffic light: green, amber or red. The verdict appears before either side agrees to anything, and both clubs can see how it was reached rather than being asked to trust a score.
What is the Fighter Ready Rating (FRR)?
The Fighter Ready Rating is the score Fighter Ready gives a proposed bout. It weighs weight, experience, age and record together and returns green, amber or red. It rates the match rather than the fighter — the same boxer can be a green match against one opponent and a red against another.
How long is a boxer locked out after a stoppage loss?
On Fighter Ready a stoppage loss locks that fighter out of new matches for 28 days, and the lockout is applied automatically rather than relying on anyone remembering. Clubs remain responsible for following the rules of their own sanctioning body, which may require longer.
Can a coach override a red match on Fighter Ready?
No. The safety gates are hard gates, not warnings. Age groups are enforced, novice limits are applied, and guardian consent for under-18s cannot be bypassed. This is the difference the platform is built around: it has an opinion about whether a match is safe, and it holds that line.
Does Fighter Ready check experience across different disciplines?
Yes. Cross-discipline history is flagged before a bout is confirmed, so an experienced kickboxer entering an amateur boxing bout is surfaced to both sides in advance rather than discovered afterwards.
How does Fighter Ready handle under-18s?
A minor is registered by their club, and guardian consent must be actively approved before that fighter is eligible for matchmaking. The consent step is enforced by the platform and cannot be skipped or overridden by a coach.
Is Fighter Ready a sanctioning body?
No. Fighter Ready is software that helps coaches, clubs and promoters make safer matches and run events. Sanctioning, licensing and medical clearance remain with the relevant governing bodies, and responsibility for who fights whom stays with the people involved.
Fighters, clubs and independents
Who can use it, what you get, and what changes when you join a club.
Can I use Fighter Ready without a club?
Yes. Independent fighters with no club get the full app and a public profile — not a cut-down version. What a club adds is the coach assessment, which is scored by the coach who trains you.
What is on a Fighter Ready profile?
A public profile carries your bout record, sparring and bout reels, and an AI-generated promo photo. It is what makes a fighter findable: without one, a boxer is a phone number in somebody else’s contacts.
What is the coach assessment?
A coach scores a fighter across eight attributes to produce an objective "Fight Ready" verdict, tracked over time so progress is visible rather than remembered. It is available to fighters on a club roster, scored by the coach who trains them.
Does Fighter Ready cover white-collar boxing?
Yes. White-collar is a first-class discipline on the platform alongside boxing, kickboxing, MMA, Muay Thai and BJJ, with the same safety gates applied. White-collar participants can find events looking for entrants and build a profile like any other fighter.
Which combat sports does Fighter Ready support?
Amateur boxing, kickboxing, MMA, Muay Thai, BJJ and white-collar boxing — all live at launch, on one engine and one database rather than separate products per sport.
How do promoters find fighters on Fighter Ready?
Promoters search verified talent by discipline, weight and location, and contact clubs directly. Profiles carry a real record rather than a self-reported one, which is the point: it removes the guesswork from booking someone you have never seen.
Running events
Fighter Ready covers the whole show, not just the pairing. The match is the start, not the end.
What does the Fighter Ready event builder do?
It builds a full fight card: assigning bout slots, managing the weigh-in, coordinating officials and recording results, all in one place rather than across spreadsheets and group chats.
How do clubs book rings, medics and other suppliers?
Through the supplier marketplace, which is connected to the event builder. Local businesses list services — rings, lighting, medics, catering, MCs, photography — and clubs book them directly while building the card.
How does ticketing work?
Through BoutPass, a ticketing platform purpose-built for combat sports and wired into the same system that runs the card. It handles fighter allocations, table sales, door staffing and refund control, from white-collar shows up to national title fights.
Can officials use Fighter Ready?
Yes. Officials are one of the audiences the platform is built for, and each type of user gets their own version of the app rather than one interface with everybody else’s features in it.
Access, cost and data
The practical questions.
How much does Fighter Ready cost?
Early access is free to join. Safety features are free and will always remain free — the gates that stop a dangerous match are not something the platform will ever charge for.
When does Fighter Ready launch?
Fighter Ready launches in September 2026. Early access is open now at fighterready.com and costs nothing to join.
Who is behind Fighter Ready?
Fighter Ready is built by Fighter Ready Ltd, a UK company registered in London (company number 17188544). It is built for UK combat sports specifically rather than adapted from a general sports product.
What happens to the details I give on the early-access form?
The form stores a name, a role and an email address, used only to send launch updates. The list is not sold or shared, the data is held in the EU, and it can be deleted on request. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
